As a self-compassionate person, I am more resilient in the face of stress and adversity; because I can offer myself the support and encouragement needed to overcome challenges.

Self-compassion is the practice of treating oneself with kindness, care, and understanding, particularly in the face of setbacks, failures, and difficult emotions.

Self-compassion emphasizes self-acceptance and recognizing one’s own worth as a human being. Apart from that, Self-compassion involves three main components: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness.

Ideally, self-compassion allows you to be kind, encouraging, and understanding to yourself. To be self-compassionate, you need to practice this behavior with not just yourself but with other people. Being understanding toward yourself and others is a big component of self-compassion, and there are a lot of ways to practice it. Self-Kindness

When you think of things/ behaviors you can not accept from people, you immediately associate them with relationships, friendships, and what to look for in a partner or friend. That’s right, because what you can’t accept from yourself, you shouldn’t accept from others. Vice versa. Common Humanity

But there are also behaviors that you should look for in yourself, things you do, and conscious decisions you make for yourself, and this is called Mindfulness.

One of the ways I practice it is to note down all the positive things I like and negative things I would not accept from myself or people. By doing this, I am conscious of the kind of energy I allow from people or radiate from myself. Being conscious.

I make a list of red flags and green flags when I notice them, this practice is not only focused on my behaviors but things I notice from people that I either accept or do not. Which I am dedicated to doing, for myself.

Another thing I do is to make sure I recognize and write down my moments “highs and lows”.

In conclusion, mindfulness is an important skill that can help individuals lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. By treating ourselves with the same kindness, care, and understanding we would offer to others, we can cultivate greater emotional resilience and well-being, and overcome the challenges.
