Life lately: Adulting.
There are times when I think about the life I have lived before now and can’t believe that I experienced all of that. It feels so unreal — remembering the friends I used to have, places I used to live, things I used to like, the way I used to dress, people I used to like, crushes I used to have, and things like that.
Woah! I have really grown. Growth is amazing when you look back at your life THEN and compare it to your NOW.
The purpose of the life I lived was to shape me to who I am today. The memories I always try to remember are days when I was happy, when I was free from worrying, when all I cared for was when food will be ready to eat, and when I could make really silly choices and make mistakes without dwelling on it for a second.
Since 2024 started, I can say I have not had any moment of rest from the activities of life. Am I happy? Yes. Do I need to take a break from life? Yes please. You know the part I am tired of? The one where I wake up and there is always something to think about, to worry about, to do. Why can’t I just relax, be free from this kind of feeling everyday.
Adulting is hard, and I am not even saying that in a comic way. But we are here now, what to do ? I saw a tweet that read: “Every girl needs a year where she’s just a socialite” and I am like “Take me there!”.
I really can’t wait for the life I want, because to be honest — adulting is sweet when you have the magic wand called CHOICES. The life of choices is sweet, and I believe this is what everyone craves for.
A life where I wake up with the mindset that I have a life of limitless choices. The one where I can choose to do anything I want, anytime I want it. The one free from worrying about the future, the one where I can always choose my happiness, the one where I am the adult that I love.
My dream is to inspire people to create a life of choices because I feel that’s where enjoying life is. Yes, there is contentment, but there are also choices — and I want both.
